Over the past 32 years, Matthew has had the opportunity to support and grow senior housing and healthcare businesses in both urban and rural areas that succeed in quality of care, compliance, and financial outcomes. Through his zealous commitment to excellence in care, service, and business, he has been able to create outstanding environments for those he serves.
With his background covering more than 15 states and 75 communities, his experience and results have built strong industry relationships. Matthew formed ‘Ohana to continue his long legacy of servant leadership, integrity, and collaboration to the senior housing and healthcare community.
Brad has been a leader in senior care for nearly 15 years, most recently with with a NW regional company as their Skilled Nursing Facility Divisional President. Brad has overseen Skilled, Memory Care, Assisted Living standalone and campus properties. Throughout his tenure he balanced his long-term strategy with the daily demands of operational performance.
Brad has also been involved in Long Term Care state and federal political activism. Throughout the COVID pandemic, Brad worked directly with multiple state agencies and hospital systems to develop COVID dedicated specialty units to meet the needs of the state, leading with decisive and clear protocols. He joined as a partner in 'Ohana Ventures to continue his legacy of exceptional outcomes for seniors.
Kristy Blizzard made her lifelong career in the accounting field. In 1979, she began her accounting career working alongside her family in the auto industry learning and mastering such jobs as accounts payable/receivable, payroll, budgeting, and financial statement preparation. After gaining such a diverse experience, Kristy began operating her own accounting services business serving such diverse businesses as graphic arts, restaurant/bars, antique malls, rental agencies, real estate, construction, and senior housing companies.
Kristy’s vast experience, attention to detail and organizational skills paved the way for her to eventually rise to the position of Vice President of Accounting at a regional size senior living operator, which manages multiple communities in the Western United States. For the latter twenty years of her career, Kristy chose to specialize in the senior living industry as she loves being able to engage with the senior living communities and help to improve the team members and resident’s overall quality of life.
In her free time, Kristy enjoys spending time with her family on the family boat. If not on the family boat, you can often find her on a paddleboard!
Christy Kruse has dedicated her career to specializing in community-based care throughout the Pacific Northwest. She started as a caregiver when she was 18 and has worked in every position in Assisted Living and Memory Care. This has made her a hands-on expert and highly credible with our staff, residents, and families.
Over the past several years, she has been a Regional Director of Operations and has overseen 17 different assisted living and memory care communities in 7 western states. She has a specific passion for memory care and specialized care for behaviors. She creates a strong compassionate and supportive culture that improves morale and employee retention. Christy is a wealth of knowledge, mentorship, and support for the Ohana Ventures communities.
